39th Annual
Christmas in Greenwich
Date: December 9th, 2007
Time: 12:00 noon until 5 PM
Christmas in Greenwich began back in 1969 with "Christmas at the Gibbon House" and the tradition continues today.
Our 39th year is upon us, and we are making preparations for many wonderful activities. The Cape May Trolley will travel Ye Greate Street, where our guests may choose to embark on a journey to visit several well-manicured historic homes, decorated for the holiday season, in the tradition of the period in which they were established. This year, at the Gibbon House, we will have a complete hearth-side Christmas dinner prepared, with accompanying violin music. We will have the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Tea Burning Monument. There will also be a Christmas Artisan's Market at the Morris Goodwin School where hand-crafted Holiday gifts and decorative items may be purchased.
Be sure to take in the "Swedish Lucia" program that was added to our tour by the late Mrs. Carl Holm in 1977. For further information, please contact the historic society.
